Our Speakersfor Pittsburgh Web Design Day 2015

How Punk Rock & Long Distance Running Explain Web Development

What does training for a marathon have to do with learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript? What does Fugazi have to do with your sense of career satisfaction and on-the-job happiness? And, what can we do when we’re ready to throw in the towel while trying to stay up-to-speed with the latest and greatest development methodologies?

I’ll take ten minutes to talk with you about how two things in my day-to-day life (punk rock and long distance running) have informed and shaped a third part of my life (my career as a developer) and how I think those two things explain all of our careers.
